| Botswana National Preparations In preparation for the World Summit on Sustainable Development, the Government of Botswana is in the process of finalizing a National Preparatory Committee, which is expected to be established in February 2001.In addition, Botswana is undertaking its national review and assessment of the progress made in the implementation of Agenda 21, which is expected to be completed by March 2001. The Government of Botswana is also planning to launch three "national initiatives" proposed by the Summit Secretariat to ensure greater participation of all partners:
