| Fiji National Preparations In preparation for the World Summit on Sustainable Development, the Government of Fiji has announced that it will establish a National Preparatory Committee by July 2001. The Department of Environment will be the lead agency.In addition, the Government of Fiji is also launching one of the "national initiatives" proposed by the Summit Secretariat to ensure greater participation of all partners:
