| Islamic Republic of Iran National Preparations In preparation for the world summit on sustainable development, the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran established a National Preparatory Committee on 2001. The committee is chaired by Dr. Reza Maknoon, from office of president of republic. Members of committee include the representatives The mandate of the National Preparatory Committee is to prepare National Reveiw/Assessment of Islamic Republic of Iran, formulate and coordinate national issues relevant to the summit. On the commence of year 2002, the National Preparatory Committee held a high-level meetingtitled "Sustainable Development Strategies in Executive Sectors".
