| Jordan National Preparations In preparation for the World Summit on Sustainable Development, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has established a National Preparatory Committee. The Committee is composed of representatives from the following government agencies: The General Corporation for Environmental Protection. The Committee will be chaired by Mr. Ghazi Odat, Director General.In addition, Jordan has completed its national review and assessment of the progress made in the implementation of Agenda 21. The Government of Jordan is also planning to launch two "national initiatives" proposed by the Summit Secretariat to ensure greater participation of all partners: In Addition, an electronic chat room has been launched by Jordan's National Information Center (NIC), in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), to engage Jordan’s development community in national preparations for the World Summit.
